make today great

“this is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24

and again for the people in the back:

not yesterday, tomorrow, next week, next year, or even in ten years.

in proverbs 31, it talks about a woman who is so deeply rooted in the Lord, {you have probably heard of “the proverbs 31 woman” before..}

in verse 25 it says this:

“she is clothed with strength and dignity; she laughs without fear of the future” Proverbs 31:25

in this verse, the “Proverbs 31 woman” is confident, walks with strength, and knows that her identity is found in Christ alone, and she is not fearful of the days ahead, she is walking in where God has her right now.

God has really been planting Psalm 118:24 in me. there have been so many instances of reminder in the past few weeks, day after day, that He has shown me this verse, through random Instagram posts, sermons, unexpected encouragements from mentors, and it was even the verse of the day on the Bible app one time! it’s crazy how God can use our “what seems like” mundane, day-to-day activities and show us something out of it. I believe that when we are truly seeking His will for our lives that He will continue to show us sweet glimpses of His goodness!

“there is no pit so deep that God’s love is not deeper still” – corrie ten boom

so what i’m hearin’ is that there is always room for a little bit of joy in your day.*

*disclaimer: it might not be a simple task.

you see, joy is a choice, and more than that, it’s an act of obedience and gratitude to our Father who gave all so He could be with us forever! praise and thanksgiving through every circumstance is what He asks of us! so let’s put a smile on that beautiful face, and practice being joyful in the small things first.

i want to leave you with this:

today is a great day to have a great day.

choose joy.

today is the only today you will get.

live in the moment.

and enjoy His goodness.
