Praising God on the Mountain AND in the Valley

We all have moments when we are “on the mountain” and we all have moments when we are “in the valley.”

When we have those exciting “mountain” moments, we almost always run and tell someone, a best friend, parent or mentor.

It’s not until we have those not-so-exciting “valley” moments, that we reach out to God.

Shouldn’t we go to God with everything? The good, bad & ugly?

He wants it all, surrender it ALL to Him. Leave it at His feet.

He wants every piece of us! He wants our broken hearts, our messy lives and even our times of celebration! He wants to be there when something goes great, and especially when something doesn’t go as planned.

It can be so hard to remember to run to God with your problems, and your moments of joy. I personally stumble with this every day, but I’m working on it! Here is a small routine that has really helped me lately. Every morning, wake up 5 minutes earlier than your usually would and put on some worship music while you get ready. {here is my fave playlist} Pray while you’re brushing your teeth and thank Him for what a great day it is going to be!!

“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Challenge: The next time that something bad happens, run to God. The next time that something good happens, run to God. In every situation, without wavering, run to Him. Cling to His faithfulness and His unfailing love.

“on the mountain, in the valley, from the darkest depths into the sea, you’re sovereign Lord, you will always be”

“You Will Always Be” – Highlands Worship
