Pieces

Unreserved, unrestrained
Your love is wild
Your love is wild for me
It isn’t shy, it’s unashamed
Your love is proud
To be seen with me”

I love when God speaks to you through song. I play the piano, so I love to worship in the form of song. I first heard the song “Pieces”, (written by Amanda Cook & Steffany Gretzinger) at Forward Conference in Georgia, last summer. It was such a great week, I learned so much about God’s promises and His everlasting love. It was one of the best camps/conferences I have attended (I have been to quite a few).

Some of the key points that really stuck out to me were so simple and sometimes you just need a small ‘nudge’ to remind you how amazing God’s love is!

“You don’t give Your heart in pieces
You don’t hide Yourself to tease us”

God’s love is so amazing, while I was driving today, I was listening to this song, it hit me so hard that God’s love is just so great and He sent his only Son to die for us, knowing that we might never love him back. I stand in awe of how much God loves each and every one of us.

“Uncontrolled, uncontained
Your love is a fire
Burning bright for me
It’s not just a spark
It’s not just a flame
Your love is a light
That all the world will see
All the world will see”

I love this song because it tells so much about God’s love. If you have a moment, go take listen to the words and meditate and believe the truth that is in this song.

“Your love’s not fractured
It’s not a troubled mind
It isn’t anxious
It’s not the restless kind
Your love’s not passive
It’s never disengaged
It’s always present
It hangs on every word we say
Love keeps its promises
It keep its word
It honors what’s sacred
‘Cause its vows are good
Your love’s not broken
It’s not insecure
Your love’s not selfish
Your love is pure”
